Legal documents are among the most sensitive data an organization holds. Athar is designed so you can put it to work without putting client confidentiality at risk — encrypted, isolated, and never used to train models behind your back.
How we protect your data
Every account gets an encryption key unique to it, created the first time you sign in. Your chats and documents are encrypted at rest under that key and isolated from every other account.
All traffic is protected with TLS, and data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard algorithms. Your documents are never transmitted or stored in the clear.
We do not sell your data, and we do not train our models on the documents or prompts you submit without your explicit consent. Your matters stay your matters.
Each account's data is logically separated so that one customer's content is never exposed to another. Access paths are scoped to the authenticated account.
Access to production systems is restricted on a need-to-know basis, authenticated, and logged. Internal access to customer content is tightly limited and auditable.
Accounts are protected with secure authentication and session handling. You control who in your organization has access.
You can request deletion of your account and associated content. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the Service or meet legal obligations.
Our practices
For a legal tool, integrity of the answer is part of security. Athar's grounding guarantee means it can only cite documents it actually retrieved, and drops any reference that doesn't resolve — so the output you rely on is as trustworthy as the data behind it.
